UOP Awarded Reliability and Maintenance Project at Scanraff Refinery

Des Plaines, Ill., USA - UOP has been selected by Scanraff to employ UOP's RMAXTM (Reliability, Maintenance and Availability eXcellence) methodology and tools to assess and benchmark the reliability and maintenance of Scanraff's refinery in Lysekil Sweden (220,000 BPD) to support a refinery-wide performance improvement initiative. The reliability and maintenance project is scheduled to commence in May 2003. Implementation of selected improvement projects is planned to commence in September 2003.
UOP's comprehensive RMAX program is designed to help sites achieve maximum profitability from their existing assets. The RMAX Program addresses all key aspects of reliability and maintenance improvement including process and equipment reliability, asset integrity management, maintenance strategies and procedures, and organization and management.
